Over 200 miles travelled and over 200 gallons produced!

 Often spotted plodding along Jamestown,
Daisy is more than just a pretty cow.     Let me explain...Daisy was born on a small farm in Illinois, and shortly thereafter bought by a New England dairy farmer.  After a long car trip she arrived at her new home, Buttercup Farm.
Daisy made friends with all kinds of animals on the farm...including a draft horse named Spirit.  Daisy would
watch Spirit plow and harrow, or pull the farmer's milk waggon to town.  So, one day Daisy got thinking...why can't I do that?  Why can't I pull the farmer around, go to town and plow the fields?  So, the farmer went to the Amish harness shop and had a custom harness made to fit Daisy.   In the weeks to come as fall quickly approached Daisy hauled timber out of the woods that would be used to warm the old farm house.   During snowy winter days Daisy pulled a sled filled with all the neighborhood children and come springtime she was hooked to her first wheeled cart.  A meadowbrook that was restored and modified to fit daisy's growing wasteline.  Daisy milked for three years her first lactation, and has had one calf so far.
